Welcome to the Brindl Family!
We offer premium products for your pet that you can be proud of. Brindl strives to create products that are locally made and sourced with real ingredients, while also being eco-friendly.
We both have always tried to be conscious of the things we buy. Whether its reading food labels, or searching for the ‘USA’ label, we feel modern shopping can become very convoluted and misleading. So, we try to do little things to help make brindl a better shopping experience, hopefully resulting in returning customers that grows the family. These things could be reducing plastic in our packaging, searching for products with ingredients you can pronounce, and partnering with other small businesses in America.
Meet Oven:
Yes, like the kitchen appliance.
She was adopted from HALO Rescue is Phoenix, AZ in 2021, estimated at about 1.5 years.
We were told it was a Dutch Shepard mix. So on the drive home, we made a joke calling her Oven, after a Dutch Oven… :) Well, it stuck.
As you can see, her pattern is full brindle. This was the inspiration for Brindl Pet Kitchen.
FYI. We did a DNA test, and the results showed she is pretty much everything but a Dutch Shepard. But she was already Oven, so we went with it.
Meet Us:
We have lived in the Phoenix valley most of our lives. Being ASU grads, our careers ventured down the fairly common, white-collar paths. So, starting a business on nights and weekends was both exciting and nerve wracking.
Oven has had fresh, human grade food since birth, and we developed a passion to use a healthy diet to help her live her best life. At times, she eats better than we do…:)
Anyways, we took that passion and started brindl pet kitchen. We truly hope you enjoy what we have created!
The Beginning:
A longtime family friend Vet helped us create a few recipes to provide a great, well-rounded diet for all dogs. Many nights were used to cook and package food, while many weekends were occupied with setting up tents at local farmer’s markets.
We knew this was a great product but was met with resistance and red tape from the larger companies. So, nights and weekends were then spent brainstorming new ideas and a website.
What started as making fresh food for our dog Oven, to turning the garage into a mini factory, which evolved into more shelf stable products. Let’s see what happens next!
